Over two decades in private equity, banking and finance have involved me in many entrepreneurial ventures, from small to big. I like the variety and hands-on mentality of the German Mittelstand. As managing partner, I try to stay on top of all the things the day may bring. But being surrounded by our enthusiastic team makes my life definitely easier. It’s great to see that everybody is willing to go the extra mile.

My role means that most of my working day is about figures and statistics. What I enjoy most is mentoring on processes and systems, keeping up with deadlines and interact with the team. Coming from hospitality industry my career has taken me from office manager to controller and I am still learning.

I have always been intrigued by the entrepreneurial spirit of the “Mittelstand” with its can-do attitude, its variety of business models and its thrive for excellence. Being able to support the growth journey of these companies is what drives me.

After experiencing a corporate takeover myself, I decided to join Halder already over a decade ago. At this time, I was very curious about what a private equity investor does and what is behind all this. In my job, I manage the everyday magic of office chaos, I am the company’s memory and a process wizard in the back. I love working with this enthusiastic team of free spirits and feel like a member of one big family.

What excites me are entrepreneurs who successfully developed their companies. Thinking about how to best leverage the key strength of a company to capture additional growth and create value is what drives me. Finding the right ingredients and putting them together is both challenging and satisfying once it clicked. And doing this in the exciting Mittelstand environment is fantastic.

I am passionate about teaming up with successful entrepreneurs to build Mittelstand champions together with great management teams, employees, and business partners. For me close collaboration, support, reliability, and hard work form the backbone of successful teams and are the basis for driving businesses to their full potential.
